OUGD504 - Studio Brief 2 - Web design Briefing

Bad website design principles (Common bugs and design flaws of website design)

Use of colour // garish background patterns // font choices // blue and underlining Hyperlinks // animations and GIFs // competitive advert attention // flashing images // pixelation of images // navigation issues // usability of drop down menus // interlinking of pages incorrectly // layout // quality of links // info or images for links // over crowding // no grid system // too much copy on one page

Positive elements

Clear links // fluid layout // simple layouts // navigation easy // use of few colours (3 or less) // grid usage // image quality // unique layouts

There are less positive elements to a website because if you follow these rules, there will be no negatives.
