OUGD504 - Typography workshop 1

Type is an exciting part of graphic design movement, presently type is creatied by programmers, where as ideally typographers should be programming type.

Using Quark as well as InDesign will open doors to employers with it being program which is used by many printers.

As long as you can design within an area that is directly foldable A-size sheet then it is still economical when printing.

CMD+0 centralises the document to full screen mode.

An inch is 72 point, 72 point is the size of the metal which the letter sits on.

The tool box allows us to alter almost anything about the box we are working within.

The type we use to communicate words is spoken word made visual. It is important to us when communicating with type as to which typeface we use, but also the weight, point size etc.
